S&W Waterproofing is an award-winning commercial waterproofing, renovation, and repair corporation. We offer honest estimates for new and existing buildings and we provide high-quality craftsmanship and materials. Our preventative services will protect your building against environmental damage from aging, water, storm, fire, and much more.  

We work closely with building owners, general contractors, facility managers, consultants, and architects to provide the perfect solution for your unique building needs. We have had clients in many sectors, including commercial, industrial, governmental, and institutional.

Our History

S&W Waterproofing, Inc. was founded in 1983 by Bob Svoboda to provide masonry and concrete repair, renovation, and restoration. Bob also specialized in waterproofing and sealants, focusing on the methodology used to reduce infiltration, migration and movement of moisture and air, as well as the associated repair technology. 

In the years since, we’ve become one of the largest and most trusted providers of caulking, waterproofing, and specialty restoration within our industry. We’re proud to handle all sizes of projects—small, one-day projects, long-term projects spanning more than two years—and everything in between. We’ve become known as experts in specialty design, construction, materials, and installation.  

We’ve developed a reputation for doing jobs right the first time, and our customers keep coming back. They’ve also told their friends—helping us grow from a small Kansas City-based company to one that contracts projects throughout the United States.

Matt Dierks, Vice President

Matt’s career with S&W Waterproofing began in 1984 as a part-time summer job. He became full-time 6 years later after he obtained a Computer Engineering Degree from the University of Kansas. Matt has “worn a lot of hats” at the company through the years, including computer system administration, designing and implementing software for various aspects of the company, working with the accounting system and the accounting staff, and more recently a focus on estimating, sales and project management. He loves nothing more than taking a call from a customer who says, “you’ve got the job.” Matt has a large family and when he’s not working, he can most likely be found in the bleachers at one of his kids’ sporting events, grilling burgers on the back porch (charcoal of course), pulling skiers at the lake, or just relaxing with Amy, his wife of 21 years.
